Travel and the like...

at The Black Sheep Inn - photo by Jennifer Fawcett

We had such an amazing weekend, last weekend. Thursday I caught Kathleen Edwards, Jim Bryson, Justin Rutledge and Ron Sexsmith at Lee's Palace for NXNE. And then we played in the Shelby Lamb Band on Friday at the Cadillac Lounge, followed by our set at the Dakota at 1am. Next morning we hauled up to Wakefield to play with Nathan Wiley at the Black Sheep. And we had dinner at Steve's parents' on the way home.

And now it's back to pre-release mania full force. Looks like we'll be doing some good travelling until the end of October. Short spurts, some with many miles under our feet. Good. That's how I like it. Keep moving.

NXNE and Wakefield, QC - woo-wee

poster designed by guess who?

Okay, North by Northeast begins tonight!

We're on this Friday, June 8th at 1am at the Dakota - 249 Ossington Ave., just north of Dundas on the east side. We're following the lovely Scott MacLeod who's being backed up by Northwest Division (who are opening for us at the CD release party on July 19th along with Emilie Mover).

I'm really looking forward to this show.

And I'm also really looking forward to getting moving the next morning and heading up to Wakefield, QC, to play at the famous Black Sheep Inn, opening for Nathan Wiley.

And then we get to stay in a motel!
And Jen Fawcett will be there!

Tomorrow I get interviewed by a puppet. More on that later.
Fun times ahead, beep beep.
